Stefan Mahendra Feat. fika & Jackson Mathod [2022] - Is It Me? [Bamboo Recordings]

Only last month on 11 Feb, Stefan Mahendra released a collaborative single with fika, "Tear This Love Apart". They're back with another single "Is It Me?" (11 Mar 2022) which includes Jackson Mathod this time out.  It's very jazzy with the muted horn of Mathod. All four (i.e. fika is a duo of  Al Wreaves and Sam Hutton) had a hand in writing the song.

The artwork looks similar to the last single, so I wonder if there may be an EP/album in the pipeline?

Stefan Mahendra & fika [2022] - Tear This Love Apart [Bamboo Recordings]

Stefan Mahendra from Bromley, Kent (UK) was a contestant on The Voice 2019 and releases his fifth solo single "Tear This Love Apart" today (11 Feb 2022). 

I've made no secret about liking the tone of his voice and have posted all his singles except his last "Adorn" which I missed on 28 Aug 2021, but is a bit too much on the pop side.

This time out he's supported by Al Wreaves and Sam Hutton from London, who collectively are fika and have featured on the blog several times.

fika & Bambie [2021] - Coffee & Clouds [Tru Thoughts] (Full EP)

At the end of Sep. Fika (Al Wreaves and Sam Hutton) & Bambi (Bambi Ray Robinson) released the first two tracks "How Can I Love? (When I Can't Get Away From You)" and "Love Like Mine" (and the former also as a single the previous month), presumably as a pre-cursor to their new five track EP "Coffee & Clouds"  released today (4 Nov 2021).

Of the three new tracks the title track is the standout but lovers of quirky neo soul may also like "Matrix".

Fabich [2021] - 405 (Feat. Vetta Borne) / Midnight (Feat. Fika) [Unity Records]

Fabich is a German (Munich) DJ/producer based in London who has been quite prolific this year with nine singles already under his belt.

I may be wrong, but I don't think I've seen "405" on any playlists? It's in a similar 'groove' as the last post from The Shadowboxers and another that's been lurking for quite a few weeks, released 1 Oct 2021.

I suspect that there is an album looming as all releases this year have been assigned a number on the top left corner of the sleeve? "405" featuring Vetta Borne (from Melbourne, Australia) is #8 which was superseded on Friday (29 Oct 2021) with #9 "Midnight" featuring Fika a duo signed to Tru Thoughts in Brighton.

I prefer "405" but may as well post both alongside each other for you to decide for yourself.
