The 1980 William DeVaughn song "Figures Can't Calculate" (produced by Frank Fioravanti) gets a modern makeover by Davante DeVaughn (no relation) on Fioravanti's Sound Gems Records (released 9 Jun 2022).  

The track has already had a previous release on the label last Nov. by Mia Manchester which was posted along with William DeVaughn's original.

On 24 Mar 2020 a full 5:11 version of "Loveline" was released by Sound Gems for Davante Devaughn. A few days later on 20 Mar a shorter 3:38 radio friendly edit  was released.

Davante Devaughn [2022] - Loveline [Sound Gems Records]

Frank Fioravanti's Sound Gems Records has released six singles by Davante Devaughn this month. The latest is "Loveline" which I believe is an original song, I certainly don't recognise it as a cover but if you know otherwise then please leave a comment.

The others I will post separately. The first is another William DeVaughn cover of "Blood Is Thicker Than Water" released  14 Mar, followed by "A Good Imitation Of Love" on 17 Mar, which was a song recorded by The Micheal M Project in 2020, and another released today is a remix of "Be Thankful For What You've Got" which will the third version he has recorded of the song. 

The other two have already been posted i.e. "Be Thankful For What You've Got (Radio Edit)" (7 Mar) and "Creme De Creme" (3 Mar).

A remixed version of "Be Thankful For For What You've Got" by Davante Devaughn was released today 24 Mar 2022 which is now the third version, the full length version in January followed by a radio edit at the beginning of March.

It's taken at a slower/smoother pace.

It doesn't appear to be available on Amazon as yet but is on Apple and Deezer.

Another William DeVaughn cover version of "Blood Is Thicker Than Water" by his namesake Davante Devaughn was released on 14 Mar 2022. It was the follow up single to "Be Thankful For For What You've Got" in 1974 which Frank Fioravanti (Sound Gems Records) produced. The full album version was split into parts 1 & 2 for the single release.

Davante Devaughn [2022] - Creme De Creme [Sound Gems Records]

Well, as luck would have it after the last post of Davante Devaughn's "Be Thankful For What You Got" Radio Edit, I checked out his YouTube Topic channel and noticed another William DeVaughn cover posted today (7 Mar 2022).

This time it's his 1982 HCRC, vinyl only, recording of "Creme De Creme" written and produced by Frank Fioravanti.

The only place I can actually find it is on Deezer which states that it was released on 3 Mar 2022 but it obviously hasn't reached the other main DSPs e.g Amazon, Apple or Spotify yet!

Davante Devaughn [2022] - Be Thankful for What You Got (Radio Edit) [Sound Gems Records]

Frank Fioravanti's Sound Gems Records released this cover by Davante Devaughn back on 5 Jan which was a 5:13 version. They have released a shorter 4:40 Radio Edit today (7 Mar 2022), presumably to drum up airplay. It also states that it's a 'clean' version but don't recall any explicit content in the previous version.

It's a faithful cover of the 1974 William DeVaughn original and, as stated previously, Davante is no relation, and I suspect that it may not be his real name? Philly's Frank Fioravanti produced  the 1974 original with John Davis.
