Anthony Hamilton [2023] - Best Of Me (DJ Soulchild Remix) [Humble Savage Records]

DJ Soulchild (aka Denny Sutton) has been teasing us with his latest mix on social media for a week or two. It gets a release via Bandcamp today. 

It's a remix of Anthony Hamilton's 2011 album track "Best Of Me" from "Back To Love".

He appears to have blended in elements of Howard Johnson's 1982 two-stepper "Keepin' Love New", and very effective it is too.

UPDATE: DJ Soulchild has just uploaded "Essential DJ Soulchild Vol. 2" on his Bandcamp channel which is a compilation his best remix work between 2017-23. It includes this Anthony Hamilton mix and another well worth checking out is Canita feat. Noel Gourdin "No Love (DJ Soulchild Remix)" which samples Teddy P's "Come Go With Me". Another samples Maze and others Michael Wycoff and Fat Larry's Band but we'll let you figure those out.

LeVelle Feat. Anthony Hamilton [2022] - Fell In Love (Remix) [The SoNo Recording Group]

Originally released last Aug and one of my selections of the year is this single from LeVelle (Chester Levelle Browning) featuring Anthony Hamilton, "Fell In Love". 

It's had a remix and features on, and has been pre-released from, LeVelle's forthcoming album "My Journey Continues" due on 22 Apr.

I'm not sure if I like it as much as the original and have included both versions for you to decide yourself.

LaToya London Feat. Anthony Hamilton [2022] - On Everything [Rs Music Group]

Released yesterday and buried in the hoards of Valentines Day tunes is this deep neo soul ballad duet from LaToya London featuring Anthony Hamilton "On Everything". The pair co-wrote the song with David P. Stevens and Keniece Ford El.

LaToya London is from San Francisco and rose to fame after coming 4th in the third season of American Idol in 2004. Her debut album "Love & Life" followed in 2005. She has featured on several Paul Tillman Smith / Park Place albums and released around four or five singles as soloist or as a featured vocalist. 

This one is a real 'creeper'. I've listened to it a few times now and it just gets better and better!

Eric Roberson Feat. Anthony Hamilton, Raheem DeVaughn & Kevin Ross [2021] - Lessons (Remix) [Self Released]

It's London bus time again ... a remix of one of my favourite tunes of the year gets serviced to me this morning in the form of Eugene Cole posted earlier today, and then comes another! This time from not just one of the best male indie soul artists around but four.  Eric Roberson recruits the services of not only Anthony Hamilton, but also Raheem DeVaughn & Kevin Ross on a remix of  the wonderful "Lessons" released tomorrow (22 Oct 2021).

I'll also take the opportunity of posting a live video recorded recently in August at the City Winery, Chicago, by Jackie Roberson, his wife?. If you do nothing else, please skip to 4:20 and listen how 'brutal' the music business can be!
