Tony Walk [2023] - More [Self Released]

One of our choice cuts from Tony Walk's EP "Good Vibes Only" (6 May '22) was "More" which, a year later, has been released today as his new single.

Walk was a session singer for many years supporting artists such as Aretha Franklin, Billy Preston, En Vogue, Celine Dion, Little Richard, Andrae Crouch, Etta James, Miki Howard, and Vesta Williams .He first featured on the blog in Aug '21 with his single "The One For You" and again in Feb '22 with "Stay". He released an album "Introducing Tony Walk" in 2020 (which is mainly cover versions).

There's no video, as yet, for the new single but we found a video for a great rendition of a classic song "Going In Circles" (The Friends of Distinction (1969) also recorded by Luther Vandross and other greats such as Isaac Hayes, Carolyn Franklin, Natural Four and Esther Phillips) from his debut album.

Tony Walk [2022] - Good Vibes Only [Self Released] (Full EP)

Tony Walk debuted on the blog in Aug 2021 with his single "The One For You" and featured again in Feb with "Stay". He has already released an album "Introducing Tony Walk" in 2020 (which is mainly cover versions). His debut EP "Good Vibes Only" came out yesterday (6 May) which contains both singles. The title track from it was posted from promo on 21 Apr.

I think my choice of the three new tracks (discounting the title track as it's been getting plays for a couple of weeks) is "More", but it's a strong set.

A DJ Pope remixed version of his George Benson cover of "Turn Your Love Around", released on his debut album, was also released last week (2 May 2022).

Tony has spent many years supporting other artists (including Aretha Franklin) with backing vocals and is now stepping out on his own.
