When you think of the name P.P. Arnold perhaps you recall her original
version of "The First Cut Is The Deepest" (Immediate 1967), covered by many, possibly most famously by Rod 'The Mod' Stewart almost ten years later in
1976, but many had covered the Cat Stevens written song before him.
Patricia Ann Cole (to give her real name) was a member of The Ikettes in
1965 before moving to London the following year and has stayed ever since.
In 1989 she recorded an album with Pressure Point, "This Is London" on Viceroy Records. One of the singles from the album was "Dreaming". It's been reworked for 2024 by Jason Yarde with a new title "Dream All Night" and includes two JoY aNd
EaRs Remixes, a full DJ Mix and Radio Edit.
