Bristol born, Brighton based, producer / artist J-Felix (Joe F. Newman) was signed to Brighton label Tru Thoughts through playing guitar for
Alice Russell and released his debut album "101 Reasons" in
2015.
He describes his music as "A sublime journey through squelchy electro-funk, tripped-out neo soul
and woozy hip-hop beats". He
He has set up his own label OVN Record for the release of his a
four track EP "The Mint Experiment Volume 1" which featureds Chloe Bodur, Victoria Port (a member of Anushka), Juga-Naut, Bessi and Bigzy (Kevin Mwai Njenga).
He follows it up with "THE MiNT EXPERiMENT Volume 2" again featuring guest artists such as Melonyx,
Bessi again and Sol Goodman.
The standout is "Gemini" feat. Melonyx.
