José James is set to release his next project in the coming
months which is a tribute set to the Queen of Neo Soul
Erykah Badu which will be titled "On & On" due on 20 Jan 2023.
It should come as no surprise then that his new single is a cover of
lady's lead single from "Mama's Gun" in the shape of "Bag Lady".
James was born in Minneapolis in 1978 and is described as "A jazz artist
for the hip-hop generation, José James artfully blurs the lines between
traditional and contemporary jazz, hip-hop, soul, funk, pop and rock". To
date "On & On" will be his twelfth solo album since his first in
2008.
