We interrupt proceedings for this news flash just in! No Russia hasn't
invaded Ukraine ... yet (or maybe they have as not checked recently) but
I did say I was going to focus on new neo soul releases but this has
literally just dropped into my inbox from Expansion
records.
They have digitally reissued James Day's 2006 debut album "Better Days" and there are less than a handful of CDs left (3 quoted) at the same
price, a measly £6 (colloquially termed as an ill fish i.e. a sick
squid), which may get scooped up quickly.
James Day now goes by the alias JD's Time Machine. This album is subtitled
"A Tribute to 80's R&B" and is very good. It features Audrey Wheeler
(Will Downing's wife), Jeff Ramsey (who departed this world almost exactly
two years ago on 8 Feb 2020) and Catherine Russell.
