Yebba [2021] - Boomerang [Self Released]

Well this new single from Yebba (Abbey (Abigail) Smith) is certainly different and quite hard to label, but has a charm. Yebba last featured here in May on a single with Lucky Daye "How Much Can A Heart Take".

"Boomerang" was released yesterday (25 Aug 2021) from her forthcoming debut album "Dawn" due on 10 Sep 2021. I thought it sounded familiar and I was trying to think what it reminded me of and I think it may be Adele's "Rolling in The Deep"?

She has released eleven singles since 2017 and this will be the fifth already this year.

Yebba is from West Memphis, AK, and was awarded a Grammy for Best R&B Performance on a Bee Gees cover on "How Deep Is Your Love" with PJ Morton in 2019 (included below to satisfy your curiosity!). She has also featured on singles with Mark Ronson and Ed Sheeran.
