Melina Malone [2023] - Aphrodite [MM Records] (Full Album)

Dublin's Melina Malone has featured here only once before, with her single "Lovers Sunday" in May. It was her sixth single since 2019  and we said at the time that it was from a forthcoming debut album, "Aphrodite" , which has now landed.

The album contains all three singles she's released this year "Naïve" (15 Sep), "Tru Luv" (14 Jul) and "Lovers Sunday" (26 May) along with three interludes, so that leaves six new songs. Our pick of the new songs are "Honey Lemon Ice Tea" and "Take U There". The final track "Anywhere" (a sweet semi-acoustic ballad) is also growing on us which highlights her pure vocal ability.

Melina Malone [2023] - Lovers Sunday [MM Records]

The new single "Lovers Sunday" from Dublin's Melina Malone released today is her sixth to date since 2019 and her first since 2021. It is the first single from her upcoming debut album due in  the Autumn.

Her last single "Heartbreaks & Promises" utilises Robin S' "Show Me Love" although that's not typical of her material as she was guesting for Mango X MathMan, Her earlier material is more like the latest i.e. neo soul with a hint of jazz and it is well worth investigating.

A late find today and certainly one of the best and a likely strong candidate for SoulStrutter Selection of the Week!
