Charmaine X [2022] - Lover And Friend [Self Released] Forthcoming

Another UK Soul Chart Breaker courtesy of Andy Tee from UK artist Charmaine X, from Birmingham, with her forthcoming new single "Lover And Friend".

Charmaine X has featured on the blog a couple of times last year with an EP "Introducing" in January and a single "Talk To Me" in June.

Although the title of her EP was "Introducing" she is by no means a new artist as she was a member of a girl group Prestige in the 90s and is also the daughter of the guitarist in Brit-funk band from Birmingham J.A.L.N. Band.

Charmaine X [2021] - Talk To Me [Self Released]

Following on from her EP "Introducing" released in Jan2021, Charmaine X,  from Birmingham (UK)  releases two mixes of "Talk To Me" on 12 Jun 2021. Both good mixes, but the more uptempo Remix edges it for me.

Although the title of her EP was "Introducing" she is by no means a new artists as she was a member of a girl group Prestige in the 90s and is the daughter of the guitarist in Brit-funk band from Birmingham J.A.L.N. Band.

Charmaine X [2021] - Introducing [Spinnup] (Full EP)

From a 6 track EP 'Introducing' (from which I deduce it's her debut?) released 24 Jan 2021 by British artist Charmaine X.

The EP consists of a couple of uptempo numbers (Stay & Easy Feeling), a reggae/lovers rock tune (Stay) and 3 ballads (I Know This Feeling, If & So Long).

The Key

This track was premiered on YT in Aug 2020, so presumably was released as a single prior to the release of the EP.  Digging a bit further it appears that 'I Know This Feeling', also on the EP, was also released as a single in Jun 2020.
