Despite the French looking name Andre Espeut was born in London with Indian, African, French and Spanish heritage.

He started out in 1998 as a backing singer for artists such as Terry Callier, Leroy Hutson., Leroy Burgess, Lynden David Hall and pop acts Duran Duran and Westlife.

His latest single "The Journey" is a collaboration with Juan Laya & Jorge Montiel otherwise known as Los Charly's Orchestra.

Los Charly’s Orchestra Feat. Andre Espeut [2022] - Music For The Soul Pt. 2 [Imagenes Recordings]

Los Charly’s Orchestra is a London based music project created and directed by Venezuelan producers Juan Laya and Jorge Montiel. They combine a retro and modern sound that blends the Boogie-Disco sound of the 70’s with a Latin perspective.

They have collaborated with some serious producers including Joey Negro / Dave Lee, Jose Padilla (Cafe Del Mar), John Morales and Opolopo amongst others.

Their previous material includes "History" feat. Omar, "Sunshine", "Everlasting Love" and "My Barrio" which have gained attention from BBC6 Music's Funk & Soul show host Craig Charles amongst others.

In 2011 LCO released  "The Groove and It's Synonyms" EP which contained "Music For The Soul" for which they have just created a Part. 2 which celebrates more than a decade of music making. They rebuilt the track from scratch and invited their long time friend and collaborator Andre Espeut to deliver the vocal.

The new version, "Music For The Soul Pt. 2", is out a week on Friday (16 Dec '22)
