You may recall two recent releases by Kinsman Dazz Band i.e "Ghetto Preacher" and the follow up "Saved". When we posted "Saved" a couple of weeks ago we told you that it was
going to be released on 7" vinyl paired with the previous release.

by Creative Soul (a new label run by two well know figures on the UK rare
soul scene Cliff Steele and Andy 'Tats' Taylor). The limited edition 7"
press is available to pre-order for delivery around 8 Oct. It is also available to pre-order via Creative Soul website.
To recap on the history of Kinsman Dazz, they were founded
in 1976 in Cleveland, OH, from a merger between jazz fusion band, Bell
Telefunk (who Michael Calhoun was a member of) and Mother Braintree and were
renamed Kinsman Dazz after Kinsman Grill where they were the house band,
Dazz referring to danceable jazz. They were signed to 20th Century Records
and released two albums, the first, a self-titled album, as Kinsman Dazz in
1978 followed by "Dazz" in 1979.
They joined Motown in 1980 and their name changed to Dazz Band. After two
R&B hits as Kinsman Dazz and several minor R&B hits as Dazz Band
they hit pay dirt with their fifth Motown single "Let It Whip" which reached
#1 R&B and #5 Hot 100 in 1982. Three other single broke the
R&B Top 10, "On The One For Fun", "Joystick" and "Let It All Blow" all
making it to #9 in 1983-84.
They have released over twenty albums, including the two for 20th Century
Fox and seven for Motown. The line up has changed multiple times and the
group splintered and there have been legal disputes over the name Kinsman
Dazz. The founder of Kinsman Dazz Band is Michael Calhoun who left Dazz Band
in 1981 and formed C- Brand ("Wired For Games" and then Voyeur.
