Well I have to say I was expecting this from T-Pain! Intrigued, and drawn to the album with the opening track, the Sam Cooke
classic, the album, as the title "On Top of The Covers" suggests, is full of cover songs some better than others and to be honest
none stand up against "A Change Is Gonna Come".
One is of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" and others include Black Sabbath "War Pigs", Journey "Don’t Stop Believin", Chris Stapleton "Tennessee Whiskey" and Frank Sinatra "That’s Life" all done, he claims, without auto-tune as he pioneered and popularised
its use!
Apparently the album has been years in the making since he won The Masked
Singer in 2019 singing "Stay With Me".
