Staying with the southern soul feel is a single, "Crazy", released on 13 Jan '23 from a forthcoming album, "Black Heart" due on 14 Feb '23 by Danny Boy.
A couple of tracks have already seen the light of day as singles, "This Song" (31 Aug '22) and "Done Me Wrong" (14 Jul '22) (on which he
sounds a bit like R. Kelly), so I've also included them below to give you
a taste of what's to come. How on earth did we miss "This Song"? It's sublime .. and "Done Me Wrong" is 'none too shabby" either, so the forthcoming album looks promising.
Danny Boy is actually his real name, born Danny Boy Steward, and whilst
"Crazy" has a southern soul feel, Danny is a Chicago, IL, native with strong roots in gospel music. He has been involved
in music since he was a young boy. He gained the attention of Dr. Dre when 14 and
was signed to Death Row Records joining the ranks of Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Dr.
Dre and others releasing his first single for the label in 1994.
Over the years he has developed his skills as a songwriter, producer and
actor and has lent his voice to artists such as Teena Marie, Norman Connors
and Rick James and featured on recordings by Aaron Hall, Mary J. Blige, K-Ci & Jojo, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Tupac Shakur.
