Chris Kingdon collaborated with SouLutions vocalist Louise Mehan on a new single "Take It To The Top" which was released 17 Jun 2020 from SouLutions website. Chris Kingdon has done a new mix, the CK Factory Edit, which gives the song an added soulful house edge and is available on
Bandcamp from 5 Aug 2022.
Originally Chris Kingdon recorded a backing track which he sent to
SouLutions' Louise and Steve Lee to work with. Steve already had
the lyrics to a song which, as luck would have it, suited the backing
track, he worked on adding to the musicality and production of the
track incorporating Louise's wonderful vocals. Kingdon's initial aim was
to produce a modern track that was full of soul, but with a twist of
retro, that pumped out a Philly groove.
Chris and Louise have collaborated previously on "My Song" last year which is also available from SouLutions website.
