Luman Child is Swiss-based musician, composer & producer,
Pascal Strauss, whose latest release (28 Jun 2022) is a four track EP "Love Is The Message" which is his debut for the burgeoning Brighton (UK) based Tru Thoughts label.
The lead track is a gospel-house tune "Grateful" which he describes as an uplifting summer soul/boogie groover which
features the vocals of Philly singer/songwriter Robert Gee. There is also an
instrumental version which he's titled the Orchestral Mix.
Likewise "Loving You" has vocal and instrumental mixes and is a slower neo-soul track that
features London-based Nigerian singer Joseph Junior. He claims that it is
influenced by The Isley Brother's "Footsteps in the Dark", recently covered
of course by
Jarrod Lawson
on Dome.
Both Robert Gee and Joseph Junior are long time collaborators, featuring on
Luman Child's debut 2017 solo album "Time To Grow" on Cool Million's Sedsoul
label.
