Announced a couple of week ago, but due for release on Friday (20 May 2022), is the second vinyl 7" by The Freedom Affair released by
Paul Mooney's One World Records.
Both singles have been taken from the nine piece Kansas City band's
first, and only, album so far "Freedom Is Love" released on group
co-founder's (Chris Hazelton) Sunflower Records in 2020. The group
released their first recording in 2019, a single called "Rise Up" on
Colemine Records.
The first Freedom Affair single on One World was "Outta My Mind" released last July (2021) and the latest is "Give Me A Little Love" flipped with, presumably, a new song "Searching" unless it's an instrumental of the A side, as I haven't heard it.
As an added bonus I found a video on their YouTube channel (posted in Feb
2020) where they perform five songs, the two singles plus their debut single
"Rise Up" and two further album tracks "Make Me Surrender" and "I Know
Better".
The group line-up is Seyko Groves (vocals), Misha Roberts (vocals), Paula Saunders (vocals), Chris Hazelton (bass), Dave Brick (drums), Coles Bates (lead guitar), Branden Moser (rhythm guitar), Pete Carroll (trumpet) and Brett Jackson (sax).
