Ego Ella May last appeared on the blog in Jul with her last
album "Honey For Wounds" (Deluxe Edition) of her 2020 album. Her first release since them is
this four track EP "FIELDNOTES" released last Friday (15 Oct 2021).
She's is from South London and yet another artist signed to Brighton's Tru
Thoughts label. In 2020 she won a Mobo Award for Best Jazz Act, so needless
to say that this is neo soul on the jazzy side. She's very much in the Eryka Badu school of neo soul.
