Get Me [2021] - Power Of Love / Brazilian Love Affair (Sweat LP) [Self Released]

Before you get too excited, it's NOT a cover of George Duke's jazz/funk classic from 1979, it's an original song written by the lead vocalist and guitarist Lauri Makaroff, as is the other selected track.

Get Me are a nine-piece nu jazz/funk band from Helsinki, Finland. I wasn't expecting too much when I first came across the album, but two tracks did get my attention: "Power Of Love" and "Brazilian Love Affair" as I had to check it out but, as said above, it is not what I was expecting but it's not a bad jazz/funk instrumental. The best track by far is "Power Of Love". There's nothing else of  much interest on the album.

Both tracks are from their latest album "Sweat" released on 23 Jul 2021 which is their second, the other "Love Sounds" was released in 2018.
