Having had two tracks from their last album (Gospel Sessions Vol 4)
released on vinyl, Michele David & The True-tones release a new single
not on the album. The name of the track may be confusing as their last
single was called 'Yes I Am' and this one is called 'Yes I Know', I'm no
marketing expert but I did have to double take thinking it was the same
single, which may hamper sales! Whilst I'm at it, their name is confusing
as well, because the albums state Michelle David & The Gospel
Sessions.
I'm afraid to say, to these ears it is nowhere near as good as 'Yes I Am'
or 'Good Good Good'. I find the arrangement quite messy, it starts funky
and then turns R&B about half-way through and then gets funky again.
It's different, but neither here nor there for me, but make your own mind up.
