Wil Key [2021] - Globetrotter: B [Larimar Records] (Full Album)

A terrific new album from Wil Key with many guest artists was released 28 May 2021.

I haven't had a chance to listen to it in full properly as yet, but on first skim through there are plenty of tasty cuts and I didn't detect a 'duffer' with the title track featuring Sy Smith, probably the pick of the bunch on first listen. This has to be a contender for album of the week in the coming week!

It's a bit 'pricey' though, £14.85 for 15 tracks. In comparison, Mississippi Humminboy's album is 16 tracks for £7.99!

I posted "Another Day In Paradise" a couple of weeks ago which hasn't 'registered' as yet!

Wil Key [2020] - Another Day in Paradise [Larimar Records]

Wil Key is a Lousiville, KT native now living in L.A. He released his debut album 'Gypsy' in 2000 and his latest (and fifth) album 'Globetrotter: Side B' is due on 28 May 2021.

Each track on the Globetrotter Side A and Side B were recorded around the world, hence the title. The new single 'Another Day in Paradise', released 16 Apr 2021, is taken from the album and  was recorded in Copenhagen (Denmark) and features Danish singer Julie Lindell.  A video has been shot in downtown L.A. for the single but is not yet available and is due to premier tomorrow, but I've included the link.
