Regi Myrix feat. Lena (Loi) [2023] - Let It Go [Myrix Megia Group]

Posted from promo yesterday when we were informed that it was due for release on 28 Jul but has, in fact, been officially released today (21 Jul) . Although, DSPs and Spotify are listing it as 15 Jul, it was almost certainly not available yesterday as we checked before posting the promo!

It's the new single from Regi Myrix which features vocalist Lena Loi titled "Let It Go" from a forthcoming EP "SouLaDeLiCa" due in Autumn.

You may remember Lina from her 2005 album, in particular, "The Inner Beauty Movement". and the lead single "Smooth".

Lina (real name Shelina Wade) was born in Colorado and raised in Texas and began as a songwriter, writing "Ain't Nothin' Like A Jones" for Tyrese's 1998 self-titled debut album. She was signed to Atlantic as a songwriter and then as a recording artist where she released her  debut  album "Stranger On Earth" in 2001.

Her sophomore album "The Inner Beauty Movement" had four songs considered for Grammy nomination and was among the Top 10 albums of 2005.  The lead single "Smooth" won a Soul Train music award.

Lina has released two further albums, "Morning Star" (2008) and "'The Love Chronicles Of A Lady Songbird' A Tribute To Soul" (2012) on her own MoodStar Recordings label.

The ladies really are nailing it with this, Erica Falls and Felece Tillman all being amongst our favourites over the last week or so!
