You may recognise the name, as Jessica Mauboy starred in
"The Sapphires" movie in 2012 based on a 60s girl group discovered in a talent contest.
She was runner-up in Australian Idol in 2006.
Her latest single is a pop/soul/dancefloor throwback sound "Automatic" released on 8 May 2022.
Not really my thing as it's more pop/dance than soul music like so many of this ilk (i.e retro 80s) So why am I posting it? Good question! Possibly as this is still head and shoulders above a lot of the dross being released at present.
