Gotts Street Park [2023] - On The Inside [Blue Flowers Music] (Full Album)

Leeds based band Gotts Street Park (named after an area in Leeds) last featured here in May with the second single, "Got To Be Good" feat Pip Millet, from a, then, forthcoming third album "On The Inside". Since then they released a further three tracks from the album which is out today.

With five single being already released from it ("Tell Me Why" (10 Oct), "Mountains" (24 Aug), "Fuego" (25 Jul), "Got To Be Good" (20 May) and "Summer Breeze" (11 Oct '22)) there are seven new songs to digest.

It's a strong set that should have an across the board appeal for futurists and traditionalists listeners alike. There's vocal and cinematic style instrumental tracks making it a tricky one to try and pigeon-hole. Is it soul, is it pop, is it jazz, is it rock? It's a blend of all of them.

Pip Millet guests again on one of the strongest new songs "Fool For Love" with our other pick from the new material being "Are You Still A Friend?" feat. Flikka from Stockholm who also featured on their 2020 single "Favourite Kind Of Girl".

Gotts Street Park feat. Pip Millett [2023] - Got To Be Good [Blue Flowers Music]

From a forthcoming Gotts Street Park debut album, "On The Inside", due on 13 Oct '23 is the second single "Got To Be Good" feat. Pip Millett.

The band consists of Josh Crocker (bass/producer), Adam Nicolle (drums), Joe Harris (guitar) and Tom Henry (keys). They took their name from Gotts Park in Armley, the area of Leeds they work from, named after an 18th/19th century industrialist Benjamin Gott who founded a textile factory Armley Mills which was at the time the largest factory in the world and is now a museum. Not only music, you get a history lesson for free too!😉
