We have to admit that this one took a few listens to warm to as we're not
the greatest fans of 80s style soul music ... you had to have been there
coming out of the 70s to witness how diluted it had become with the advent
of computers, synthesisers and drum machines! Several tracks on this new EP, "Love, Daddy Princess", by TimaLikesMusic have that feel.
On first scan through we liked "Time To Let Go" ... until the rap set in half-way through! The two tracks that do stand out
though both feature Manhattan jazz singer Amanda Barise, the opening track with a jazzy muted horn "Daddy Princess Hotline" and "Let's Open It Up".
TimaLikesMusic is 26 year old singer/songwriter Fatima
Diakite from Brooklyn, NYC, who's been around since 2016 but this is the
first time we've featured any of her muisc.
