Ray BLK (pronounced Black and translates to
Building Living Knowing) is Nigerian born, East Londoner (Catford),
Rita Ekwere.
She self-released a debut mini-album "Durt" in Oct 2016 (which included collaborations with Stormzy amongst
others) and in 2017 was first unsigned artist to win BBC's Sound of
2017 and was later signed to Island Records in 2018 who released her
full album "Access Denied" in Oct 2021.
On 1 Jul she made her acting debut as Honey in a BBC eight part
musical series, "Champion", from which her latest single "My Girl" is taken and released on 30 Jun.
