Jacci McGhee [2023] - Time And Time [Self Released]

Only last week we posted a reissue of Jacci McGhee's 1992 self-titled album and contemplated why it was being reissued now. Well we now have the answer, as today she has released a brand new single "Time And Time".

Jacci began her comeback to music in 2015 appearing alongside Dominique, on DJ Jay Salter's EDM hit, "Angel of Mine (Soul Remix)". From that she won a modelling contract and then scored a role co-starring with Marc John Jefferies in a short film on teen suicide.

Best known for her #2 R&B hit "Make It Last Forever" with Keith Sweat in 1988 and lead vocals on Salt-N-Pepa's "Expression".

She was then signed to MCA (Geffen Records) and released her only solo album which spawned two R&B hits "Skeeza" and "It Hurts Me" in 1992.

Changes at MCA/Geffen meant that she got lost in the mix and then replaced Sandra St. Victor as lead vocalist for The Family Stand featuring on their 1998 "Connected" album after which the group disbanded.

Jacci worked singing jingles for ad campaigns while raising a family until hooking up with DJ Salter in 2015 and has released a few singles since: "Every Day Is A Holiday", "If This World We're Mine" (which is not the Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell song) (2018) and "Riches Of The World" (2022).
