We first came across Aliah Sheffield with her New Years Eve
2021 single, pre-emotively titled "Never Drinking Again". It didn't seem to get much action first time around, possibly owing to the time of the year? Let's hope it's inclusion on her sophomore album "These Songs Are For Anyone Sick Of Earth", released today, will give it a boost. Another recommended track is "Good For The Money".
Singer-songwriter Aliah Sheffield (sometimes referred to as Nikki
Aliah) was born in Newark, NJ, and raised in Savannah, GA, and is
another Berklee College of Music graduate studying film scoring.
Her main instrument is the piano but growing up she learned to play a
number of instruments including clarinet and saxophone.
She cites her musical influences as diverse as Deniece Williams, Donny
Hathaway, Aretha Franklin and Patti LaBelle to Jazmine Sullivan, Alicia
Keys, Adele, Yebba, Jill Scott and SZA.
