Well the much vaunted, some may claim hyped, debut album "Get It Right" by Claire Davis is finally out today (21 Apr '23).
We've already had a taste of several tracks i.e. "Intuition", "Times Have Changed", "Long Gone". Quite often we find that it is the best tracks that have been
pre-released as singles and we are left a tad disappointed with the
remainder but no so with this album which opens with two killer cuts, the
title track "Get It Right" and "What's Mine" and then, skipping over two of the singles, we get another superb slice
of soul with "Love Stories". In fact there is no 'filler' on the entire album which closes with a
smouldering low-rider "Colours".
An authentic retro soul album recorded to 8 track tape which is another
to be filed under candidate for album of the year joining the ranks of
October London, Will Downing and Kyle Jason.
We've waxed lyrical about Ms Davis on several occasions so just

artist who we've witness evolving over the last few years since we
posted her "Thrive" EP in June '21 which was later picked up on by LRK Records who have released several
singles and now a debut album from her.
Highly recommended, sometimes the hype is real!
It is available on all major digital platforms but we have posted from
Bandcamp as this gives the best return to artists/labels and also it is
available on CD and Vinyl from there and I can see this one selling out
rather quickly on vinyl so get your order in now.
This is another case of why buy digital for £10 when you can have both CD
AND digital for £10.99.
