Nefer is a Melbourne based singer originally from from
Vaureal (Paris) who grew up in a French- Haitian environment.
She attended the Conservatory Of Music, Dance And Theater of
Cergy-Pontoise where she received a classical training.
Her debut release is an album, "Welcome to my Spaceshift" out today which seems to use samples on a number of tracks. The most
obvious being Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes' "Wake Up Everybody" on
"Ludes" but I seem to recognise something from the next track "Forever
Friends" which isn't coming to me. (UPDATE: Leigh 'The Flava' Taylor has put me out of my misery as "Forever Friends" samples Eddie Kendricks' "Intimate Friends")
Given that the name Jessica GUIRAND appears on credits for all songs
would guess that is her real name.
