The title track of Victor Haynes' forthcoming album "Love Is The Answer" was posted last week and we had the privilege of receiving the
full album in advance of release and gave you a preview of it on Monday. It is out today (2 Dec '22) on all digital platforms.
Victor released the first single from the album "Back To Love" on 7 Oct and followed it on 18 Nov with two mixes of "Newsflash".
Victor Haynes is one of the most respected names in UK soul music
whose career has now spanned four decades releasing his first album in
1994. His smooth and sophisticated vocal style merges soul and jazz
classics with original compositions. He started his professional
singing career after giving up his business designing and making
jewellery and moved to London working with artists such as Jaki
Graham, David Grant, Heatwave’s Derek Bramble and Rod Temperton. His
versatility made him a first call when artists like Edwin Starr, The
Drifters, Curtis Mayfield, The Temptations, The Real Thing and The
Crusaders needed support for their UK shows.
After moving back to his native Manchester he entered a songwriting
and recording partnership with producer, arranger, keyboard player
Pete May and began to attract attention, radio airplay and a recording
deal.
His latest album will be his fifth, and fourth for Expansion Records,
and follows the well received "Can We Talk" from Sep 2021.
