Tamara McClain is from Greenville, AL, and has released
eight singles and three albums since starting in 2019.
Her latest album is "The Return of Mz Hollywood" released on American Independence day 4 Jul 2022. It's a southern
soul affair which I'm afraid doesn't really 'float my boat' but the
salvation is a cover of The Gap Band's "Outstanding" which I must confess I barely recognised when I first skimmed through
the album.
I've chosen not to rate the album as I think that, with my 'prejudice' of modern southern soul, it would be unfair as I accept that there are some who appreciate it, but it just does nothing for me so I'm not in any position to rate it. Some people love brussels sprouts, others hate them, that's just the way it goes!
