An album released last week (17 Jun 2022) which seems to have passed many
of us by but I was alerted to it by Roger 'Soulsorts' Williams.
"Snoop Dogg Presents Death Row Summer 2022", as you would expect, is
predominantly hip-hop but there are a number of good soulful tracks. In
particular one of last year's selections of the year with Stokley "Jeopardy:Verbalise" from last Sep.
Each track has a featured artist and my picks of the bunch would be "Touch Away" feat. October London, "Everybody Watching" feat. Raphael Saadiq and Miguel, "Mulholland Drive" feat. October London and Latoiya Williams (which is very Marvin Gaye'ish),
"World Go Round" feat Uncle Chucc, "Put You Thru Hell" feat. Minnie Merda, "Wait A Minute Baby" (a doo-wop throwback) feat. Raphael Saadiq, October London and J-Black and finally "Runnin" feat. HeyDeon.
