With the boundaries of what constitutes soul music becoming
increasingly more blurred the new EP "By The Way" from Maebh is offered up for your consideration. The
strongest track is "Wild Strawberry", the rest, for me, verges on indie pop/folk, nothing wrong with that
but just not appropriate for a soul music blog.
Maebh (pronounced May-ve) is Maeve Brayne, a singer-songwriter/producer
from Newcastle and Cumbria now located in London and this is her debut EP
after emerging in 2019.
