Moving to London, England in 2017 to concentrate on writing her first album “Happily Ever Now” Sandra-Mae continues not only to be a creative musical dynamo, but also an acting and voice acting performer of note, appearing in multiple roles as part of the cast of Audible's “Aliens – Sea of Sorrows” and Neil Gaiman's “Sandman” audio dramas performing alongside James McAvoy, Andy Serkis, John Lithgow, Michael Sheen and more. The Dirty Dozen - The Best Of 2022... Part 12 (Mar 2022 Wk 12) Spotify Playlist

My selection of the best releases this week (Mar 2022 Wk 12)
In no particular order other than tempo.

A baker's dozen this week as, although Sunstone "Got It Bad" is also included in the Neo Dirty Dozen, I felt it couldn't be left out of the main dozen as it has really grown on me and I think it's got across the board appeal.

Another 'light' week again I'm afraid so there wasn't a great deal left out after I'd narrowed them down.  There's a couple of tracks featured on the new Stone Foundation album. Kim Tibbs features as, although she's been around on Bandcamp for a couple of weeks, she hasn't featured until it was released officially on Friday. Norman Brown is another that has been floating around for a few weeks 'illicitly'(?) which was released on his new album on Friday.

Other tracks to mention include The Nigel Lowis Philly Remix of Dennis Taylor's "In The Mood", a nice original song by Davante Devaughn, PJ Morton's wonderful "Please Don't Walk Away" gets a remix. Jamai cover of Joe perhaps spoilt slightly by a guitar solo (I feel an edit coming on!), but it's nice and soulful. It was a bit of a toss up between it and Sunstone "Got It Bad" but as Jamai is a cover I've chosen Sunstone as SoulStrutter Selection of the Week.

Global Soul Chart 26th Mar 2022 (Week 12)

26th Mar 2022

The Global Soul chart broadcast on Sat 26th Mar as it is every Saturday between  5pm-7pm (GMT) on Global Soul Radio.

Mr. Undercover was covering for Franklin Sinclair this week.

No "Essential 5" this week but the 'Breakers' will be posted separately.

Ego Ella May stays on top for the second week and Krishawna stays at #2. There's not a great deal of change with only five new entries and the two predicted to go last week (Centric and Moonchild) have gone along with the two (Robert Glasper and Nanette Maxine) that had, what they call on the stock market, a 'dead man bounce', having dropped and then gone back up last week are out this week.

This week's predictions are bye bye Mary J. and Terrie Rimson and I would guess Kadeem Tyrell and 'probably Rose Prosecco and possibly Natalie Imani and Muni Long which would be a shame as they are a couple of the best tracks on the chart.

An 'observation' is that the chart is currently being influenced by, what I would describe as, more urban/R&B tracks which I'm not personally 'feeling' i.e Kadeem Tyrell, Joyce Wrice, Soultri and Poet22, hence the first three of these four haven't been posted on the blog.

Summary: 6 risers, 7 fallers, 2 non-movers and 5 new entries

New Entries: Ellison Kendrick, Sevana, Hunter Rose, Relyae & Amelia Rose

Highest Risers: Soultri (+9), Poet22 (+8), Jermaine Hardsoul (+8)

Biggest FallersMary J. Blige (-14), Rose Prosecco (-8), Terrie Rimson (-8)

Losers: Robert Glasper, Nanette Maxine, Centric, Moonchild
