Joel Culpepper [2021] - Tears Of A Crown [Pepper Records]

The fifth single ("Return/WAR" were issued together) drip-fed today (15 Jun 2021) from the forthcoming album "Sgt Pepper" from Joel Culpepper which is due 23 Jul 2021.  I've featured three of them already on a post in March.

Joel Culpepper is from South-East London and debuted in 2009 with a mixtape "The Adventures Of Pensmith" and has his own style, which, whilst soulful, it leans towards pop end of the scale.  His earlier single "Thought About You" certainly has Prince influences evident. The latest single reminds me of Seal.

McClenney & St. Panther [2021] - Kerosene [Self Released]

I'm not quite sure about this one, it's got 'something' but not a lot of soul to my ears, but will post it anyway and you can decide for yourself! It's a new single from McClenney featuring St. Panther released 11 Jun 2021.

Chris McClenney is from Ellicott City, Maryland and was inspired to learn to play the guitar from the video game "Guitar Heroes", He released his debut album "Portrait In Two" in 2017, having already released a few singles since 2015.

St. Panther is a female R&B/hip-hip artist who's been around since 2018.

Amber Mark [2021] - Competition (Single Edit) [EMI]

A new single from Amber Mark was released 9 Jun 2021 following up "Worth It" released in April with a Jarreau Vandal Remix applied in May, both of which did reasonably well on the Global Soul chart.

Amber was born in Tennessee to a Jamaican father and German mother. They moved to India and then Germany when she was growing up. She is now based in New York and made her recording debut in 2016 with three singles from her debut album 3:33AM released in 2017.

She will be appearing at Lafayette, London on 24 Aug 2021 (assuming Covid restrictions are relaxed by then).
