A song written by Gene McDaniels "Meet Me On The Moon", recorded by the late Phyliss Hyman on her 1991 album "Prime Of My Life", is the vehicle for Mary Cross's new single.
Ms Cross wowed us with her debut single, "In Love, There's A Risk", in Nov 2019 and "Promise" in Jan 2021. Last year she released a Latin number "Summer Samba" which she now follows with her latest single released last Friday (3
Feb '23).
Born and raised in Camden, New Jersey, Mary founded 2NspireU band a
decade ago who perform to sold out shows throughout the tristate region
and beyond (video clip of their performance included below). She cites her
musical influences as Oleta Adams, Phyllis Hyman (which are clearly heard
in her ballads) as well as Sarah Vaughan, Gregory Porter, Nancy Wilson,
Nina Simone.
