Global Soul Chart 11th Jun 2022 (Week 23)

11th Jun 2022
The Global Soul chart broadcast on Sat 11th Jun as it is every Saturday between  5pm-7pm (GMT) on Global Soul Radio.

Each week around a dozen or more 'Breakers' are interspersed with chart entries. These will be posted separately.

NOTE: This week there is an interview included with Morgan Munroe who will be appearing at Global Soul Showcase on 3rd July 2022.

Well call me a 'fortune teller' but I did predict last week in The Dirty Dozen write-up that Blue Soul Ten's new album "This Is Worth It" may well be a Global Soul chart #1 but I didn't expect it to be this week! He replaces Raheem Devaughn in the top slot after his three week run at the top. I think Blue Soul Ten may be there for some time as the only likely candidate to topple him is probably Men At Large as they have a full album due on 24 Jun which might give them a boost but that's two weeks away.

There was another mass clear out with nine new entries and all four predicted, and three suspected, last week have gone along with J. Brown, which I thought might have gone last week, and a surprise drop out from #7 for Thaïs Lona.

Blue Soul Ten was obviously the highest new entry with Sha'Leah Nikole entering at #9.  Scanning through the chart I note that, except for one not posted (Iman Europe), every one was posted here either on day of release (14 of 20) or within a day or two of release.

With so many new entries it's hard to gauge what will drop out next week but I think Kenyon Dixon has had a good run and Ravyn Lenae looks precarious. We could even see the departure of Raheem Devaughn and probably Juanita Wynn. Jordan Lee is hamstrung at #10 for the second week so could also be a casualty next week. I'm not sure that Iman Europe will hang around for another week either. So that's potentially six new entries next week?
