This four track album/EP was released on 28 May 2021 and is another via Albina Music Trust, like the Slickaphonic
album posted in March, who discover and restore recordings by obscure Portland area bands from 60s/70s/80s.
Transport were a little known Portland band and these tapes have been
restored from an unreleased album "Disco Fantasy Land" recorded in 1978. There are four tracks, one being a cover of Ronnie Law's 1975 jazz/funk classic "Always There". They disbanded not long after the album was recorded.
The band contained members of Ural Thomas' 60s band The Gangsters and some went on to join Portland group Nu Shooz who had a hit in the 80s with "I Can't Wait".
Another recording from them was issued in France in 2001. It was a 12" vinyl picture disc with "Slow Park" c/w "High Speed", neither of which appear on the latest release.
It is only available via BandCamp or direct from Albina Music Trust.
