One we missed that is just too good not to post as we came across a live
video of an 'intimate /stripped' version of it.
Released on 21 Jan by Karla Pace, "Arms" is a soulful ballad that she says she wrote "to uplift people that are
going through Depression, Heartache and feel as of they have to go through
the sadness alone. You should always know that there is always someone out
there that cares for you that you can go to in those moments".
Karla Pace is from Detroit and has opened for Babyface, Anita Baker,
Stokley (Mint Condition), India.Arie, Richard Street's
Temptations, LL Cool J, Buster Rhymes, Alexander O'Neil and Musiq
Soulchild to name just a few. She was also previously a background
vocalist for Alicia Myers (One Way).
Only two other singles for her are available on DSPs, released in 2016-17, but she
has a six track EP "Live Love Music" available on her website which includes all three singles and states
that it was released in 2015. So, "Arms" may well be at least nine years old but has a
timeless quality that reminds us of Mary Cross "In Love, There's A Risk" (2019).
