Another modern soul 'anthem' gets the rework treatment. Al Hudson
& The Partners are perhaps best know for their club hit "You Can Do
It" in 1979 which was their first single after modifying their name from
Al Hudson & The Soul Partners having released a dozen or
more singles under that name between 1975-78 and would later be renamed
One Way when they moved from ABC to MCA in 1979.
One of their latter singles under the moniker of Al Hudson & The Soul Partners was "Spread Love" in 1978. It was the title track from their third album "Al Hudson &
The Soul Partners" for ABC in 1978.
Sense of Sound Singers are a collective of professional singers from
Liverpool managed and directed by Jennifer John who provide backing vocals
and also record their own music. This gospel and jazz favoured outing has
been remixed by Yam Who? who is London-based DJ/producer Andy Williams who is the man behind
the Midnight Riot label.
This one's been out since 6 Jan '23 but new to us so perhaps also new to
