Dessy Di Lauro is an R&B/neo ragtime singer from
L.A. (born in Montreal of Cuban, Brazilian, Italian descent) who debuted in 2004 with an EP "A Study Of A Woman's Soul". She has a great set of
pipes, but her neo-ragtime material is an acquired taste, which I've
yet to acquire!
She last featured here in 2021 on a single with Ali Campbell's UB40
singer Matt Hoy on a very pleasant lovers rock style tune "Wonderland" an also with Malcolm Joseph on "Falling" on his "Robotics" EP.
She has a new solo single out since 23 Jan in tribute to women titled
"Strength of A Woman" along with a supporting video.
