A new album from Melba Moore, "Imagine" (released today), which includes her UK Soul Chart topping single "So In Love" but sadly not her excellent collaboration with Carmichael Musiclover
"Company".
The clear standout of the new songs is the jazzy stepper "Take Her Picture Down" which sounds very familiar, any ideas what this could be similar
too? (UPDATE it's just dawned on me that it's similar to McFadden & Whitehead's "I've Been Pushed Aside" recently sampled by Everis on his "What U Doin' 2 Me"). However, it seems she has chosen to go with "Take Me Away" as the next single which I believe is being released next Friday (6 May 2022).
There are several tracks with the same title as well know songs (i.e. "Free",
"Forever", "Imagine", "Can't Stop,The Rain", "Joy & Pain") but they are
not covers they are original songs.
