All this neo soul stuff is all well and good but as a reference point I'm
going to start dropping in some 'real' soul classics just as a
marker to see how far off the mark so much new material is from what I, and many others, would classify as soul music.
Here's a case in point, and I'm pretty sure I've posted this in the past, (HERE) but
my goodness what a tune. It sold virtually no copies on release and is still
'relatively' cheap to buy although there are none currently for sale on Discogs where the current highest paid price is a snip at £45 for such quality.
