A couple of tracks from this album, released today (28 Jan 2022), have
already been posted i.e. "Far Beyond" and "Summer Madness".
Lance Ferguson is a guitarist, songwriter, producer and DJ originally from New Zealand now
based in Melbourne and is the leader of The Bamboos.
The second volume of Rare Groove Spectrum is
predominantly instrumental covers and apart from the two tracks above, the
standout is "Estrela" which is a cover of a 1983 Latin jazz funk tune by Marcos Valle from
Brazil which also has Leon Ware on writers credits. There is an
instrumental version of Carly Simon's "Why" written by Nile & Rogers (Chic).
