The DreZone i(aka Andre St. Clair Dyer) s a singer/songwriter, DJ and
Multi-instrumentalist from, South-East London (New Cross). One of his stated influences was Prince and this can be heard
in his latest album "Drecountry" released today (8 Aug 2021) especially on the opening tracks "807" and
"On The 'down".
I can also hear similarities to Stevie Wonder (another of his influences) and Marvin
Gaye on a couple of tracks.
The standout track, for me, is the Gaye
influenced "Better Days Better Ways" (which gets better with each listen ... this could be a biggie if the DJs get behind it!) followed by "When I'm Lovin' U". "The Crusade" will appeal to jazz/funkers. It's a pretty consistent and good album throughout.
The DreZone is a new name to me, who I haven't come across before, yet it
would appear that he released his debut album in 2004, but this is his first
album since 2012.
