Beggar & Co are an 80s Brit-Funk group formed in 1980 by former
members of Light Of The World. They hit the charts with this track in 1981
peaking at #15. Their follow up was "Mule (Chant No. 2)" which was a nod to
the fact that they appeared on Spandau Ballet's earlier #3 hit "Chant No. 1
(I Don't Need No Pressure On)". Those two songs were their only chart
entries.
An album has been released yesterday (18 Jun 2021) by Expansion featuring remastered
earlier tracks, which, surprisingly doesn't include Mule (Chant No. 2).
"Somebody Help Me Out" gets a Boogie Back remix from Ernie McKone and Toby
Baker.
Some of the highlights of the album includes the featured track which also
has a radio edit, Light Of The World's "Time", Kool & The Gang's "Open
Sesame", "Going Home To See My Baby 2021 Remix" and "Sleeping
Giants"..
