This one is 'right up my street', a previously unissued track from the
vaults of We Produce by The Temprees put out by Kent Select in 2019.
The
Kent release also has the original version of 'Trippin' On Your Love' by The Staple Singers on the A side, which was originally album only ('This Time Around') from 1981. It was covered in the 90s by Kenny Thomas, A Way Of Life and Arthur Miles.
The Temprees were formed in the mid 60s as The Lovemen and included Larry
Dodson who left to join The Bar-Kays in 1970 before they were signed to Stax
and had released anything.
They had a couple of tunes played on NS scene in the mid 70s
'At Last'
and
'I Found Love On A Disco Floor'.
