Ledisi - The Best Of ...

Following on from the Larry Saunders post, I thought it timely to post some of her daughter, Ledisi's,  best recordings.

Ledisi Anibade Young  was born 28th March 1972 in New Orleans but later moved to Oakland. She released her debut album Soulsinger in 2000.

Deep neo soul ballad, which unfortunately is the only track on the album I felt worthy of posting.  The rest of the album is disappointing RnB style, perhaps an attempt to crossover?

Superb soulful duet with Jaheim and best track on the album.  Jaheim is the grandson of Hoagy Lands best known on Northern Soul scene for The Next In Line, but he did release some other quality material - specifically Reminisce on Spectrum ... watch out for that one on here.
